While your tenants are working hard, they're also paying taxes which fund the infrastructure that makes your land more valuable... so you can increase the rent!
This might sound illegal, or even immoral - don't worry, it's all perfectly legal.
Would you believe it gets better? Because you pay hardly any tax on your property's windfall gains, your tenants will practically subsidise your own taxes. 100 years ago you would have had to clothe them, feed them, and provide them with medicine - it was called slavery.
